how to earn from blogging

IT Nabin98

Do you want to make money in the world of profitable blogging? Are you itching to become one of those 6-figure bloggers that you’ve heard so much about?

If so, you’ll want to read every single word in this special report because I’m going to show you exactly how you can join the ranks of those who have cultivated a following of regular buyers through a network of highly-targeted blogs.

I’ve eliminated the clutter and time-consuming work-around so that I can take you deep into the heart of successful blogging without over-complicating the process, or forcing you through a long, drawn out learning curve.

Because the truth is; it doesn’t have to be so complicated.

Making money with carefully crafted niche blogs isn’t all that difficult to do. In fact, if you are looking for a fast and easy way to set up shop so that you can start to make money online without a great investment, blogging is the way to go.

Creating high-quality blogs in your niche or industry that generate traffic, and provide valuable content and information to your market is also one of the most effective methods of building a presence of authority and establishing yourself within your industry so incredible profit margins aside; blogging puts you in a great position within your market.

And guess what? The best part about this strategy is that it’s also exceptionally easy to do and is very cost effective. It doesn’t cost a lot of money to set up a blog. In fact, the majority of work will involve your time – not your dollars.

So, without further delay – let’s jump right in!

The Truth About Blogging

Here’s the truth about 6-figure blogging: While blogging can be automated (eventually), you shouldn’t expect income to be passive from the get-go. You’ll have to work at it, especially when you are launching your blog and building a platform that you want to be recognized in your market.

When I first started blogging I was spending 30-50 hours a month creating content, converting visitors into email subscribers, and selling products and services (none of which I created myself – I focused entirely on affiliate marketing. More on that later).

While I eventually outsourced most of my content to skilled writers, I still spend time evaluating advertising options, reviewing products that I can promote, building my mailing list and creating ad campaigns to boost traffic and keep my blogs in the forefront.

While you can delegate many tasks to a team, such as content creation and even marketing, you will want to be directly involved in the initial building phase. This is your brand, after all. You need to make sure Six Figure Blogging: Special Report every piece of content has your voice, carries your message and represents your business in the best possible way.

No one will ever be as careful and professional with building your blog as you will be, right? So, dig your heels in and commit to spending the first few months building your blog from the ground floor up. Then, and only then, should you begin to create a team that will help you manage your blog and eventually, expand into other avenues with other niche-based blogs (if you choose to do that).

Again, in no way is blogging a hands-free method of making money during the INITIAL stages. You must be prepared to put in some time and effort if you truly want to succeed.

But the good news? Your hard work will pay off.

The 5-Step Formula

While there are countless reports and articles that overcomplicated the process of making money with blogging, here’s a basic overview of how it’s done:

1: Create a blog and register a memorable domain. Avoid remotely hosted options. You need to be in full control of your website so you can take advantage of all the different revenue options with no limitations (or other people’s advertisements).

2: Write (or outsource) killer content that will generate traffic and drive visitors in. This content needs to be extremely high-quality, targeted and informative. All meat, no veggies.

3: Convert your visitors into email subscribers so you can build your list. A newsletter is key in building a successful blog online. Scratch that; a newsletter is essential to be successful in nearly ANY market online. You will never make as much money without one. Six Figure Blogging: Special Report

4: Communicate with those subscribers regularly so your lists don’t run cold. Build rapport and trust. Nurture relationships with your market. This is where you can build a recognized brand as an authority in your market and set yourself apart from the competition (especially those bloggers who aren’t doing this!).

5: Sell products and services to your audience via your blog and through your newly cultivated newsletter.

Sounds easy enough, right? It is. But it will take time. Let’s dig into each of these steps a bit deeper so you better understand how it works.

CREATING YOUR BLOG

This report is focused on how to make money with your blog, so I won’t go into detail about building the platform. Just know that you should always choose a memorable domain that is targeted to your market and that you set up a professional hosting account that houses your blog. Don’t use a free host or a remotely hosted option like Blogger.

CREATING CONTENT FOR YOUR BLOG

The type of content you create will depend on your target audience, Six Figure Blogging: Special Report but every piece of content should always be informative and the juiciest, most relevant topic you can come up with.

Your content will be what drives in traffic and keeps visitors returning to your blog. It needs to establish your blog as an informative source of content in your market so make sure you spend extra time crafting compelling content (or outsource to experienced writers who know your market inside and out).

Insider Tip: An easy way to provide extra value on your website is by using a plugin like www.PostGopher.com that will turn your article content into PDF files that your visitors can save to their computers. This lets them read it at a later time, keeping their attention and increasing your chances that they will digest your content.

BUILD AND CONVERT CUSTOMERS

You need to always be working towards building your list. This is a process you can set up on autopilot by using on-site opt in forms that capture visitor’s information and add them to your mailing list. Plugins like www.OptinMonster.com make it easy to add visitor’s to your mailing lists.

Offer an incentive to those who join your lists such as providing them with a special report not available anywhere else on your blog, or special offers and discounts on products and services. Always over-deliver, and start off easy. Don’t inundate your subscribers with paid offers right away – build rapport with them first and let them know you are looking out for their best interests.

Then, set up autoresponder campaigns that will broadcast different valuable offers and freebies to your subscribers over time. I personally set up an introduction/welcome email to go out to my subscribers as soon as they join my list.

Then, 2-3 days later, I have another automated email go out that offers a free special report on my niche. Then, a week later, I begin to condition them to open my emails because they know they’ll receive value by doing so. Another free offer, a special discount code or a special infographic based on what my visitors are most interested in.

It’s not until 7-12 days later before I begin to actively sell, and I do so as passively as possible. Rather than bold, in-your-face offers, I work WITH them by providing valuable resources or tools that I believe will help them or improve their lives in some way.

When subscribers feel that you are a friend who is looking out for them, rather than a marketer whose only interest is in making money, they will respond accordingly. So, don’t be a pushy email marketer – be a professional blogger with a pulse on your market and one who is willing to go the distance for your visitor’s (and potential customers).

Earn their trust and respect.

And finally, sell products and services like no one’s business! This is when you’ll start to make money with your blog and as you do, you’ll see what your visitors are responding to so you can fine-tune your system and begin to tailor both your email campaigns and the content on your blog, around what they are most interested in.

Which brings us to the meat of this report: HOW to make money.

What products or services should you sell? How can you turn free content into profit? How can you use your blog as a lead generation tool that will make money steadily?

I’ll show you how in the next chapter.

Top Money Maker

One of the most important aspects to building a profitable blog is deciding what form of monetization will work best for your market.

There are many different options available to you so figuring out which one to start with (and ultimately, gauging what format your visitors are more likely to respond to) is quite often the trickiest part in the process.

So, let’s break it down for you so that you can create a surefire system that will have you earning money in no time at all, while avoiding the under-performing options that so many people fall victim to.

DEFINE YOUR OBJECTIVE:

You may start a blog simply because you’re interested in writing content for your niche market. Perhaps you have a lot of information to share and you enjoy helping others. Great! But, you still need to define your blog’s objective.

Is your blog designed around attracting visitors with useful free content that you can then turn into a lead?

Are you planning to use your blog to provide a free offer in exchange for an email address to build targeted mailing lists?

If so, then your blog is a lead generation mechanism and that is your objective.

The point of creating a blog isn’t just to make money by directly selling products and services, either with your own offers or via affiliate marketing offers. Your blog should also be a lead generation tool, a way to tap into your market, and build authority in your niche.

So, how should you begin to monetize your blog?

Affiliate Marketing!

Even if you have a product or service of your own, if you are new to your niche and aren’t established as a product developer, you should begin by creating compelling content for your blog and monetizing that Six Figure Blogging: Special Report content with established products and services from business owners that offer affiliate marketing options.

You can then siphon credibility from these established professionals, and better yet, you can let them do most of the work!

With affiliate marketing, you aren’t stuck in support desks wading through emails from customers who need help.

You aren’t working on graphic designers, promotional material and media kits in order to provide tools for promoters to use.

You aren’t working on updating products, chasing down and repairing issues or bugs in your software.

As an affiliate, you have one job to do: Sell the product and make money!

Affiliate marketing is hands down, the smartest strategy.

Need more convincing?

Affiliate marketers can set up profitable blogs faster than anyone else because you are not spending months investing time and money creating products. You can choose from hundreds of high-yielding products and feature them on your blog with a few clicks.

Affiliate marketers can generate an income that is almost purely passive. You aren’t involved in support, development or updates leaving you free to create content, build your email lists and evaluate products from developers that will make you the most money possible.

And affiliate marketing can also introduce you to hot selling products, giving you ideas for your OWN product later on down the road once your blog is established and you’re generating steady traffic! You’ll know exactly what kind of products sell without having to extensively test your own products, minimizing the risk of failure.

It’s a win-win situation.

The only exception to this rule is if you are a service provider. If you make money offering consulting, selling real estate or any other type of service, you will want to start offering those services on your blog from Six Figure Blogging: Special Report the beginning. But if you are not a service provider, affiliate marketing is the ONE monetization strategy you should focus on.

Note: Google Adwords, not paid advertising, and not product development – at least not in the initial stages. Affiliate marketing is where it’s at.

Sell High, Earn Higher

If you’re thinking, “What kind of affiliate products should I sell?”, we’re on the same page. That is the only thing you should be concerned about when choosing how to monetize your blog.

The key to success is not to go after cheap markets. Don’t make the mistake of thinking that it’s better to sell a $10 product because more people will likely buy it. It’s neither true, nor logical. In fact, you’ll make things harder on you and you’ll have to work that much more to generate a decent income every month.

Instead, do what the pro bloggers do: start with higher-end affiliate products ($77 and up) and work your way down. Not only will you make more money, you won’t have to sell nearly as many copies in order to do so!

The only way a lower front-end product works is if you have a solid backend of higher priced products. In publishing, authors call this first product (book 1 in their series), a lost leader. You are basically selling Six Figure Blogging: Special Report at a price point low enough to qualify buyers (instead of freebie seekers), while enticing them into buying your backend products that are higher priced. That’s where you make your money.

In affiliate marketing, the only way that selling a low priced front-end offer makes sense if you have a series of high-priced back end offers up for grabs. When just starting out in blogging (and in affiliate marketing), it’s much easier to go for gold and promote higher priced offers on your front end while you cut your teeth on the process.

In addition, as you promote affiliate offers and build up your email lists you’ll be able to easily launch your own product later on at a higher price because you’ve cultivated groups of subscribers that are comfortable paying higher prices!

And remember, the one metric above all others is the number in your mailing list. Don’t worry about RSS feed subscribers – that is no longer worth considering – just focus on building your newsletters because that will be the true predictor of how much money your blog will make.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

How can you find the best affiliate products for your blog?

The easiest solution is by joining the Chitika advertising network here:

 https://chitika.com/publishers

While there are many different advertising networks (and I will share some other money-makers with you in just a bit), Chitika is one of the leading advertising networks online.

Here are others I have used. These are all fantastic resources for new blogs:

LinkShare: *Rakuten Marketing: https://www.linkshare.com/

One of the largest affiliate networks online with over 10 million affiliate partnerships. You’ll have no shortage of product and service options to choose from.

Commission Junction: http://www.cj.com/

This is the one I started with so many years ago (I even have a wooden train whistle they sent their first wave of affiliates!), and I continue to use them today. Very trustworthy, reliable advertising network.

ShareASale: https://www.shareasale.com/

One of the most popular advertising networks with over 3,000 merchants participating so you’ll find a ton of products to promote.

Amazon Affiliate Program: https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/

While the pay ratio is lower than many other networks, they offer you the ability to sell products from a highly recognized brand – plus access to their full inventory of products. I recommend testing out a handful of products when you first start blogging as they are exceptionally easy to get started with.

I’ll include some of the other advertising networks that I’ve used at the end of this report in the resources section. For now, join those four networks and scan their inventory for a handful of products that are relevant to your niche and what you feel your visitors would be most interested in.

Then, create your content. If you are on a tight budget and plan to outsource most of the work, spend the majority of your dollars on Six Figure Blogging: Special Report content development. This is how you’ll stand out from other blogs in your market, capture the attention of your audience and encourage repeat traffic. If you do nothing else, spend time (or money) creating the highest quality KILLER content possible.

Not sure what to write about?

Research the top 10 blogs in your niche market. Look at what they are writing about, what kinds of headlines and titles they are using. Which articles receive the highest number of likes and comments? Write down everything you find, creating a swipe file of information that will help you create the kind of content those in your market are most interested in.

Take your time with this! If you aren’t sure what kind of content your visitors want most, you really need to spend some time researching before you begin. It doesn’t take long. Spend an hour or two scanning popular blogs and you’ll quickly have a list of possible ideas.

Remember, all you really need to start blogging is 2-3 high-quality articles. Or, flip the script and offer your visitors a combination of content types including Infographics, articles, or a video.

And always set up your mailing list opt-in box before you start driving traffic to your blog.

If you want an affordable option that is also user-friendly, check out http://www.MailerLite.com or http://www.MailChimp.com and then integrate an opt-in form application such as LeadPages.net or OptinMonster.com to streamline the process.

Recap:

• Create 2-5 pieces of killer content in the form of articles, Infographics or videos.

• Invest in a mailing list service and set up your introduction/welcome email. No selling in the first 2-3 emails.

• Offer them ONE free thing: a report, a free download, or something else that’ll appeal to your market.

• Integrate 1-3 affiliate products into your blog content and into your mailing list newsletters. Six Figure Blogging: Special Report

• When you can afford to, purchase a mailing list opt-in plugin that will capture leads.

You can go without this just by incorporating your mailing list sign up code into your blog itself, but honestly, applications such as OptinMonster.com are a lot more professional as they not only will automatically create the pop up boxes or on-site forms, but you can also customize it so that the forms appear based on user activity (such as how many times the visitor has been there, where the visitor is on your website, etc.).

• Evaluate affiliate products regularly from within the affiliate networks. Keep a pulse on your market, constantly visiting established blogs in your niche in order to stay up to date with the type of content that is getting a lot of attention as well as the kind of products that are selling.

• Generate traffic! Engage potential visitors through social media, create ad campaigns with Google Content Display network, utilize forums and communities within your niche to introduce your blog and maximize exposure.

Conclusion

I want you to start selling today. Don’t make the mistake that so many rookie bloggers make and believe that you should first build up your subscriber list to 1,000 before you start selling. Don’t worry about having “enough” content on your blog.

Begin by posting 2-3 highly informative posts on your blog that will appeal to your target audience and choose 1-3 affiliate products to promote. Divide that up and feature one product for every 2-3 articles on your blog, with the other affiliate offers being sent out to your newsletter subscribers.

The key is not to be pushy. Provide valuable content that will attract visitors and integrate an affiliate offer or two within your blogs structure. That way you aren’t shoving it in their faces but rather reminding them of a useful tool or service that will help them in some way.

It’s hard to stay motivated as a blogger if you aren’t making money so by kick starting your efforts immediately, rather than trying to perfect Six Figure Blogging: Special Report everything, you’ll see results that much faster. You’ll also be able to generate revenue that can go into building your team, hiring writers and marketers.

Once you have cashed that first check or accepted that first payment into Paypal for your affiliate sales, trust me; you’ll be hooked.

How To Start a Blog For Profit - An Easy-To-Follow Guide For Beginners

IT Nabin98

How To Start a Blog For Profit

An Easy To Follow Blogging Guide For Beginners!

A blog needs to be monetized to generate revenue. It should be a successful blog with a growing base of subscribers to keep generating more revenue. Only then would you have a profitable blog. Any blog can be monetized but there may be no revenue. Any blog can have some revenue but only consistent and sustainable revenue over a period of time will ensure profit. The fact that anyone can start a blog with little or no capital, the availability of a plethora of free tools, the ease with which one can get started and equal access to the audience ensures only the best would win. The competition has never been this stiff.

In this comprehensive guide for beginners we lay out the simple steps one must take to start a blog for profit.

Setting up the Blog

You can design a website from scratch, which should be easy if you are a programmer. If you have no expertise in coding or website design, then you should consider a content management system like WordPress. WordPress is free and it is the most popular blogging platform today. The open source software which is used by more than a hundred million people can be hosted for free using the WordPress platform or you can host it on your own. You can opt for shared hosting or dedicated hosting.

You may have your own server and configure it to host a site if you know the technicalities. The best strategy is to go for a WordPress site and shared hosting. You can move to dedicated hosting in the future when you make more money as it is substantially more expensive than shared hosting.

Getting started with WordPress is pretty simple. You can download WordPress directly from the official site and start building your blog using the simple guidelines. Or, you can choose a webhost and a shared hosting plan that supports WordPress. The control panel of the hosting account will get you WordPress. Thereon you can build your blog from within the website builder offered by the webhost. Even as you pay for the shared hosting plan, WordPress would still be free. If you don’t wish to pay for hosting, opt for WordPress directly and use its free hosting platform. This will have its limitations in term of bandwidth, storage and site features but you can keep your initial investment contained.

The following steps will illustrate how you would start a WordPress blog using a webhost.

• Choose a webhost and a shared hosting plan. Go to the website of the webhost and sign up for the plan. Provide all the details you are asked for, get a domain name if you don’t have one already and make the payment to get access to your exclusive control panel. Most webhosts will offer a free domain with a shared hosting plan.

 • Set up your account, choose the password, the features you want and check into the Site Builder section. You will get the WordPress icon. There will be many options in the Script List such as Backups, Utilities and Blogs. You would find WordPress in the Blogs section. Click it, get redirected it to the installation page and install it.

 • Use your domain name and set up your WordPress site, the blog which will be blank at this stage. You would have to work on the layout, design, features including plug-ins and everything from font to the unique elements of your blog. Don’t worry as there are drag and drop options from WordPress and from most webhosts that you can use to create your blog. You don’t need to write a single line of code.

Monetization of the Blog

You could use your blog for paid blogging. There are companies and individuals that want their products, services or entities to be promoted. These would normally pay a price for every blog post. You could take this route or you can write about what really interests you and think of monetizing the blog using advertisements. You can consider affiliate marketing, which is essentially blogging to promote and endorse certain products or services. When the audience you are targeting or your readers check out the post and click on links redirecting them to the official pages of those products or services, you would get paid. There are programs paying you for every user that clicks on the links and gets redirected. Other programs pay you a handsome commission should the users sign up for the service or purchase the product after being redirected from your blog.

There are a few quintessential elements of starting a blog for profit.

 • You need to attain popularity. You cannot make money when your blog doesn’t have any dedicated readership. You need a loyal audience that would keep returning to your blog and would keep checking out new contents that you upload. The audience cannot be limited to a few dozen people and it cannot be sporadic. You cannot rely on rerouted traffic. Your blog must be popular and obviously it would have its target audience. The target audience shouldn’t have to search for something and then get to your blog. They would follow your blog. You don’t need all those readers to become subscribers or commentators. As long as they follow your blog and repeatedly visit it, the blog can be monetized. An unpopular blog or one that doesn’t have a substantial readership can have ads or affiliate links but the monetization will not generate any revenue.

• You need consistent traffic as that will pave the way for advertisements, paid contents and promotions which will help you to make money with your blog. Without traffic, posting ads or optimizing new contents and sharing of the content will be futile. The nature of the traffic, the target audience and the kind of outreach a blog has along with the focus or the niche will determine the type of ads, promotions and paid contents. A blog shouldn’t lose its value or core in the process of monetization.

• There are many ways to make money with a blog. You could offer free content to entice the audience and then offer exclusive or academic content for those who want more information and would be willing to pay a subscription fee. You could just use the readership and get paid through ads, affiliate marketing links, sponsored banners and all kinds of product and service placements on every webpage of your blog. You need a strategy that will allow you to target your niche readership while monetizing the entire space available on every webpage of your blog. From banner ads to sponsored posts, affiliate links to promoted contents, pay per click ads to paid promotional posts; you should consider every prospect of monetizing.

Targeting Readership/Subscribers

Every blogger can get their friends and family to become the first subscribers. Sharing a few posts will get some lost social contacts to start following the blog but not everyone may be reading all your posts. No one can use their personal contacts and social connects to get the thousands of readers that one needs to actually monetize a blog for profit. You need to target a thousand subscribers or readers, then two thousand and then five thousand till you can grow enough to become a formidable blogger.

Let us first address how you should facilitate the signing up or following of new subscribers and readers.

• There should be social media plug-ins to facilitate immediate following, liking and sharing. There should be opt in sections where readers can provide their email address and sign up for the blog updates, newsletters or emails and other types of communications. Aside from the RSS feed and other obvious plug-ins you should have a simple popup asking if the reader or visitor will want to get notifications from the blog. This may happen on a traditional browser, mobile browser or via social network, media and apps. Notification has become an alternative to the conventional following.

• Don’t ask for more details than what you need. Social media plugins immediately connect visitors to the blog using their existing credentials. Use email authentication or social media authentication instead of asking for email address, first name and last name, city and other unnecessary details. Your blog is not building a database of readers. You simply need a following to get a substantial readership.

• Always have a call to action on every webpage. Many bloggers opt for standard calls to action, suggesting they share the post or like, comment or check out more posts. While these are acceptable, you should think of unique calls to action. Host polls, get people to agree or disagree, encourage readers to write counterpoints so you can take the discussion further. Every blog post can become an asset provided it has enough stuff to trigger a conversation and subsequent engagement with a larger audience. A blog post that doesn’t generate any traction is a waste of space and effort.

 • Incentivize your followers to entice more. Offer something to your new readers so they would be inclined to follow you or become subscribers. Give something precious, which could be rare tips or some insider knowledge, to your existing readers so they continue to follow you and read what you post. Today, not many people are interested in following for the sake of following unless they get rewarded in some way.

You will use your social media profiles and presence on multiple social networks to get more readers or subscribers. That would still limit your outreach unless you take a few quintessential steps. These are to be factored in at the time of starting a blog because otherwise you would need to rethink everything, right from your blog layout to the kind of content you are penning down. Here are some of the most important factors that will affect your readership.

• Your blog must stand out. You need an impressive design. You will need to have all the imperative features, from social media integration to relevant plug-ins. At the crux of the design should be a theme, one that impresses your target audience. Be unique in as many ways as possible but not quaintly that would be off-putting for some. Check out blogs like the one you are trying to create and find out what’s working for them and what’s not.

 • Nothing is more important than content. If you have the most compelling content in your niche then it wouldn’t matter how popular you are or how exquisite your blog layout is. People will read the piece. But you cannot have such priceless and unmatched content all the time. This is why you need to focus on the quality of content throughout the year. Remember the reason why you are blogging and why someone should read your blog. This alone should lead you to the type of content you should be working on. Do not just replicate what is already out there. If thousands of people have already read a blog that has discussed what you are about to write then chances are you wouldn’t get even one from that readership checking out your blog. Focus on originality. Use your own voice. The personality of a blogger is the best weapon to make any content unique.

• After content and design comes marketing. No blogger can survive today by solely being a writer, photographer, videographer or cinematographer, painter, graphic designer, chef or cook, fashion enthusiast, gadget lover or even as a satirist. One must market the blog and oneself. The blog and the blogger are inseparable. They are a single entity unless there are other bloggers on the same site. Use search engine optimization, target keywords and have a specific target audience. The target audience could be people of a certain age, gender, socioeconomic background and of a certain kind of intellect or a myriad of interests. The target audience could be confined to a city, district, suburb or neighborhood.

• You need multichannel and cross platform marketing strategies. Use other and more popular blogs to publish guest posts. Make your blog’s presence felt on all popular social networks and social media to intertwine the activities to generate interest on all platforms simultaneously. Get listed on every relevant directory of blogs. Use email marketing if relevant, host live events, podcast is applicable for the kind of blog you are planning and produce videos to highlight inspiring content.

Become an Influencer Blogger

No matter what you do, your traffic will fluctuate. No matter how hard you work and how much you ransack your mind, you will come up with content that will not reach a hundred thousand readers. Only some of your blog posts will go viral, perhaps just a few in a year. That alone would be enough to get you exposure but the outreach will waver from time to time. The only way you can ensure sustained profit is when you ensure a bottom line. Say a thousand hits on a particular blog post will trigger the commission of a pay per view ad that is placed at the top of the post. You need the thousand hits for every blog post having that ad for the page to be financially viable. Else, your effort is futile.

The only way you can always get the minimum traffic, which could be a thousand or fifty thousand depending on the nature of your blog, is to become an influencer. This is the era of influencers. You may have seen them on social media. You are perhaps following some of them. These influencers are experts in their niche, ranging from politics to food, sports to music, architecture to history, pop culture to spirituality, business and investment to education among others. These influencers are opinion makers. They have a few million followers in some cases and in most cases hundreds of thousands fans. One tweet or post by them and it reaches everyone following these personalities. You need to become an influencer blogger.

Here is what you should be doing to become an influencer blogger.

• Be a great writer if you are not a photographer, videographer or designer. Anyone who can use images or videos and have a blog that is all about the visual experience would not rely on words. All other bloggers will only have words, from those writing about current affairs to those reviewing restaurants in a city. The quality of writing has dwindled in recent years. Grammar has jumped ship, literary skills have succumbed and substance is a rare commodity. Blogging is not ranting. It is not just writing whatever you want in whichever way you want. If you wish to be a famous blogger, then you must be an expert writer. Writing is as much a skill as it is an art. You need to be a master or at least highly proficient in the language you are writing in. You don’t need to have a degree in literature or journalism to become a great blogger. You just have to be a great writer, regardless of your academic qualification.

• Write on issues that would get you some attention. You may pick popular topics which you can source from current affairs or pop culture. You can write on politics, movies, music, technology or whatever that will entice readers. Do not write on a topic that is unlikely to get you any views. You may be interested in medieval art but not many would share that interest. You may write a stunning piece on the Italian Renaissance and yet get very few views. You can pursue any niche you want but make sure you manage to entice your audience. You should have a target audience for your blog but that should not be a small section of people. That will not make you famous. You need to reach out to the masses if you truly want to get famous or become an influencer. More importantly, you need a large target audience if you wish to monetize your blog and generate consistent profit.

• Be originally argumentative. Have a view that may not comply with the norms and present your opinion without being overly offensive to anyone. The objective is to get people talking, to make the audience sit up and notice, to get them clicking and reading. Engaging the audience, inciting a discussion, interacting to fuel further conversation and generating activity is the best way to become an influencer.

• Develop a personality as a blogger. This may be the natural extension of who you are in real life or you may create a certain style and portrayal as a blogger. It is this personality that people will follow, like and talk about.

Start an Online Coaching Business Using Your Talents and Expertise

Learning something new is fun; it can also be a challenge. Many times we are required to learn something new with our job and there are times when we are interested in something and want to learn more about it. That’s why a coaching business offers a great way to make some nice profits.

There is so much information out there so it seems very easy to just do some research and find what it is you need to know. How easy is it to apply your new found knowledge in a real life situation, and how much can you trust the information out there? It is not really that simple. Learning something and doing something are two different things.

Learning something and putting it into practice takes time, patience, and a good coach. This is where you come in handy. Think of your current niche, and as you are thinking about it, is there something within your niche that people need or want help with? Maybe you cannot think of something within your niche, so below are ten coaching businesses examples.

The purpose is to give you the coacher ideas within different niches, then go back and think of ways you can create a coaching business within your own niche. If you still cannot think of anything within your niche, then it can be a totally separate business from what you have right now. Read each one and think about it. Then read it again thinking of ways you can apply that knowledge to your own business.

Types of Coaching Businesses

The ten coaching business ideas are computer/IT, financial, career, parenting, gardening, school (high school and college), cooking, instruments, hone improvement, and sales. Each one is a different type of business, and you may or may not need any special experience to start. You won’t need experience to start the business either, but one thing to note is you must let your potential clients know you are simply coaching and not giving professional advice

If you are a professional, that is great and you will be a step ahead of others coachers out there. But nonetheless, people will seek a non-professional who charges less to give supplemental knowledge to what they already know.

Another thing is do not limit your thoughts and beliefs to what is written. You are encouraged to take these types of coaching business ideas and come up with creative ways to start your own business with your skills and expertise.

Computer and IT

Computers are designed to help you to become more productive. But there are times when they can slow us down. If you are great with computers, you can start a coaching business to help with those pesky issues that get in the way of getting your daily tasks done. Let me walk you through some ideas to get you started with this type of business.

If someone has a minor issue and he or she cannot afford to pay a professional, you can charge a lower rate and coach them through the issue from home. Maybe it’s not computer issues that you can help with. There are many new computer 4 programmers out there who may need a little coaching to help them apply what they learned in school to their career.

Financial

Money management can be very tough for many people. It is very important to have your finances in order so you are prepared for now and your future. You know the saying “save your pennies for a rainy day.” You literally need to save your money so that it works for you and not against you. So many people borrow more than they make in one year.

The best way to help anyone is to help them before they get into a financial bind. You are there to help people make sound financial decisions, and coaching will greatly motivate people to take action and be wise with their money. It is heartbreaking to see people when they lose so many things they worked so hard to get. Financial coaching may be the most sought after and necessary business today.

When people get into desperate situations they look for someone to help them out. Their reasons for creating this problem are all different, but in this day and age, it is hard to survive on the little income most people make. There are however, ways to manage your money well and live off of the income you have and be in good financial standing.

So as a financial coach, you will be giving sound advice and helping people learn how money works. You may also help them grow their wealth and use certain people for your resources such as Warren Buffet, Napoleon Hill, and Dave Ramsey 5 to name a few. These people and more helped many people make their money work for them.

Career Coaching

Your career is the most important decision you will need to make in life. It will give you income and ultimately help you to decide your best path through life. It is hard for some people to decide which career path will ultimately allow them to live the life they choose.

You might believe your dream of becoming a doctor or nurse when you were five years old is the best career choice. When you reach adulthood however, your way of thinking may change significantly. In reality, the best way to choose a career that is most fitting to you is one that reflects the lifestyle you want. There are tests you can take and studies performed that act as a guide and give you advice on a career but, may not be a definite answer.

So if you have a lot of knowledge about careers and which ones are ideal for certain personalities, then you can make a nice business reflecting what you know about it to clients. Sometimes it helps if you studied psychology because much of how you match someone up with an ideal career has a lot to do with his or her psyche.

Do remember this and all businesses in this article are ones you will not need previous experience to start, but it does require some ability to work well with others. You need to be good with people, understand their concerns, and attract people who are willing to take advice. They should be informed that the final 6 outcome of the coaching sessions is a reflection of their choices. You are only there to help them see things with a different perspective.

Parenting

Having children is a blessing. Knowing effective ways to parent your children can seem obscure or even a little difficult at times. You will also notice each child is different. The best advice for someone to start a parenting coaching career is to have some background working with children. It is even a good idea to have a degree in child psychology, but not required.

Whichever coaching business you decide to start is designed to give people advice and supplemental knowledge. Look for people who are willing to take advice as sometimes giving parenting advice can turn people off.

When you get the chance, look up a show called “Nanny 911” and learn from it. These professionals have helped many families get their children on the right track behaviorally. If you notice, a lot of it has to do with the parent changing the ways they believe they should discipline their children. Success only comes from taking the advice the nannies give and working with their children in a consistent manner.

So if you feel you have what it takes and love working with children and are good at helping other see things from a different view, then this can be a very rewarding business choice. Remember the world needs people who are willing to help others in need.

Gardening

No matter what season it is, people love to garden. Some have indoor plants and others plant during the spring and summer months outside. Others have greenhouses where they can plant any time of the year. No matter how you setup your garden, I always hear people say they do not have a green thumb and their plants will not last.

It is those people who many times want to learn to garden but feel they do not have what it takes. This is where a gardening coach comes in handy. There are many facets and different crucial elements that go into gardening to have the most success with it. Each plant is not created equal and will require different types of attention and nutrition.

If you are great at gardening and have had much success with it, then you might consider coaching others through it. It is always best to have a coach of some sort help another person. Hearing the advice and seeing it put into action are very different. There is also terminology that is easier to show than to just know the definition.

School (High School and College)

Learning is very rewarding but can be challenging at times. It does not matter who you are, your upbringing, or how well you absorb information. As a child, many times you can absorb information like a sponge. However, when you reach adulthood, learning is NOT the same. There are many resources out there to help you learn something, but there is no such thing as too much help.

With so many learning styles and information changing so rapidly, there is a NEED for people to coach others through their learning experience. Now there will most likely be some subjects you excel at and others you are not so great at. So think about what you are good at and work with people with that subject.

Cooking

When you open your Facebook or Twitter profile, you will notice there are a lot of recipes and videos of people making the recipe. They look so good and so you just want to try it. For some reason, you quickly think, “I won’t be able to make it as good as they did in the video.” But you know that simply is not true.

You probably will not be making a career out of a few people who just have an interest in making one simple recipe, but rather someone who has a deeper interest in it. So how will you know if they do or not? You can look at the comments on the video to get an idea of how to market this type of coaching business, but may never know who is really interested until they respond to you ad.

To advertise your cook coaching business make your own video of a recipe and put a link in it or in the description letting people know you have coaching sessions for people who want to become chefs or improve their cooking skills.

Instruments

Music is often considered a universal language. It reaches deep down in our souls and touches many generations. When you like something you are listening to, you will put your own meaning to it. No matter what language you speak, music will 9 be interpreted in your own language even when you do not understand the words and their meaning.

People want to carry on a legacy that has been passed down for generations, or they want to make a crowd of people have a great time. No matter what the reason, learning instruments is, and will be in high demand for a long time.

If you know an instrument and have a passion for helping others learn to play, you are on the fast track to growing a lucrative business and earning many clients. What instruments are easy to learn without being face to face with an instructor? Pretty much every instrument on the planet and that is due to video and web cameras.

Home

Improvement Your house is your home. You want it to be more than just a building you eat, relax, and sleep in. It is a part of your well-being. Keeping your home in working order and having it look presentable is something we all desire. Sometimes we do not know where to start and we begin to look for some good advice.

If you have the expertise in home improvement, then why not create a coaching program for it? For example, say you want to lay new tile in your kitchen. It may seem like no brainer, but there are actually some important things to keep in mind so you can prepare yourself before you start. The measurements of course along with how to prepare the sub-floor and so on are all things a good coach can help with.

Sales

Selling is a part of life. Whether you realize it or not, when you go to a job interview, you are “selling” your expertise and skills to the potential employer. People think of sales in a negative connotation, but here is your chance to show people that it is not so bad. Plus people who are already in the sales profession know that they always need to find ways to improve.

This is why sales coaching will be a great profit maker for you. More and more people are starting their own businesses, and guess what; sales are going to and always will be a big part of it. How else will you get your clients? Selling is a must, but unlike the old days, the strategies used to sell have changed dramatically.

For this section, I will talk about different selling styles. First selling is not something that can be forced upon others. Whatever way you word things, a “NO” most likely will be a NO. You have to respect that no and realize you do not want to do business with someone who gives you a negative response.

What are some selling styles? Proactive, consultative, aggressive, and passive are some of the styles you may notice. For your business, you may want to take one style and build it all round that. A majority of people will probably want to focus on the passive way of selling. In my life, I have noticed that there are more passive people and introverts than there are impassive people extroverts.

Now, I want to break these styles down for you and give you a better understanding of each. This is in hopes that if you choose to be a sales coach, you may be able to understand more than one style which in the end will be more profits.

Let’s go backwards from the order I listed the styles in since I know there are many more passive sellers than impassive:

 Passive Passive selling is pretty effective. You do not want to be labeled “pushy sales-person” and so you take this approach. As a coach, you will teach others how to get the sale without “selling to” someone. Passive selling can be achieved in a more laid back setting where people are already aware that your product or service exists. This makes things easier for you in the long run. Passive selling may require aggressive selling at the start. This is until people are aware of your brand and company. When people become loyal customers, then they will be looking out for new products and services and special offers.

 Aggressive Aggressive is when you seek after people to tell them you have a product and convince them to buy it. As I said above, when your business is new, this may be an approach you need to start with. As more people are aware of your brand, you can transition into a passive approach.

 Consultative This is actually what coaching is about. As a coach, you are not just helping people understand their skills or business better, but rather acting as a type of consultant. You are the expert in your niche, so you can rest assured that there will be people who trust you for your expertise.12

 Proactive Proactive selling allows you to cause the sale to happen. You are not just standing to the side, then responding to the sale once a transaction occurred. The sale may never have happened if you were not proactive in it. When you are coaching people with this style, you need to emphasize the importance of being proactive. You are proactive with your sales whether you are passive or aggressive in sales.

How to implement your coaching business ?

Once you have read about and decided which coaching business you feel fits you best, it is time to implement it. All of these coaching businesses can begin the same way. First a good plan will need to be set in place. Follow that plan exactly how it is because consistency is important.

With your plan you should include a mind map of each component of your business. Search Google® for some sample mind maps. Here you can see all the different components and can add more or take away some as necessary. Having an illustration right before you will help you gather all the ideas possible to set your business up and run it.

Now take each section of the mind map at a time and figure out an order to put them in. There is no wrong or right order here, but your instinct may tell you to do certain things before others. Follow that instinct and refer to your resources. This may require more research to see if there is any logical order to implement your business in.

Now, take one piece at a time and execute it. Then observe what happens. The parts which work best will require less attention. Now take those pieces which did not deliver an ideal outcome. Focus on them and try to work out a way to improve it. Once it improves, keep executing it. Now repeat this now and for the life of the business.

Note that things will change as your business grows. What worked one time may not work in the future. So always be open to creating new plans for your business. Remember to also be consistent.

Resources and example coaching businesses

Resources are very important. They also help with credibility. For example, if you want to increase sales a good resource for you is a person such as Tony Robbins. Tony Robbins is a renowned leadership expert and helps people plan their businesses.

As a life coach himself, Tony has helped tons of people achieve goals the can only dream of. Part of your career as a coach is your ability to speak in front of people. Again, Tony Robbins is a great example to use. You can find out more about him by doing a quick google search.

Besides people like Tony, what other resources can you trust? If you do some more research and find peer reviewed articles, they will help tremendously. If you are not familiar with what a peer reviewed article is, they are written by experts in a particular field and reviewed by other experts in that field. After it has been carefully reviewed then it is published.

You can find peer reviewed articles, journals, and other texts of the like at your library or through the library’s website. Please be advised that you should get as many resources as possible and refer back to them as needed.

Marketing your coaching business

Now that you have decided on your coaching business and have some important plans set in place, you will need to know how to market your idea and realize which ways will be most effective. No two businesses are alike, so there is no right way to market that will work every time. Even though there are people out there that say their method works, proceed with caution.

It is best to do some research and test your own methods out. Remember that you can research the internet, but get as many sources as possible. Many people will create a site or blog and say whatever they want. So when you get a good number of sites, compare the sites and blogs with the credible information you found. Take the marketing ideas that make the most sense and use them to guide you.

Marketing should also be treated similar to selling and keep in mind what I talked about in that section. As there are different selling styles, there are different sub-categories for marketing your coaching business.

For those people whom you want to do business with, these small categories are something you should really pay attention to. There are three categories, which I learnt that take some unknown out of sales and change the way you think about it from now on. One is relationship marketing, two is social marketing, and three is content marketing.

I chose these three styles because they are extremely important in a coaching business. There are other styles out there in the world but the main focus is getting some ideas across so you have a foundation to base things off of. Now let’s talk about the smaller yet important sales categories.

 Relationship Marketing

Relationship marketing is a fairly new concept as it stands, but in reality, it is something most people learn when they get a job. What you learn is that you should treat the customer so they feel as if they are welcome in the store or company. You want them to feel at home.

This builds a relationship with the very people you want to do business with. Another way to build relationships with people is to remember things about them. When you see them face to face, try and remember their name. When they give you their information send out a birthday, holiday, or anniversary card which can help build a stronger relationship.

This is one marketing category you want to be focused on more than others. The more personable you can be, the better your business will run. Those who are experts in relationship marketing and can relay the importance of this concept can expect to have an easier time growing their coaching business.

 Social Marketing

This category has been around, but there are some important ground rules to adhere to. Do a bit of research on the different ways you should market through social media. It is more than just putting an affiliate like on your Facebook wall or on you Twitter feed. You have to engage the audience every 16 way you can and NOT seem like you are just trying to get them to click a link and buy an affiliate offer.

Once you understand the ground rules, the sky is the limit with social marketing. You can join groups and go on message boards, but be warned, you want to build rapport with the members first. There are some places like the “Warrior Forum” that are designed for internet marketers. You still need to build relationships with the members before you dive right in and post your ads.

 Content Marketing Content marketing has been around since the written word. People have been finding ways to communicate with other people since language began. It is something that will not soon die out, so this should be another of your focuses when it comes to marketing.

Making your business fun and engaging

Being an enthusiastic person greatly increases your ability to attract more people to your coaching business. Attracting people is way more than just speaking in an enthusiastic way and sounding exciting. You have to be authentic as well because people will be able to tell if you are or not.

If you are just going through the motions, you will not seem real or that you are really interested in what you are doing. The best way to be successful with this part is to really have an interest and passion for what you will be doing.

You also want to attract the right people to your business. Trying to get as many people as you can to jump on board and get coaching from you seems like the ideal thing, but if those people seem like they are on board then drop off the face of the planet, it will just be wasted effort in the end.

One thing I warned about early on is be careful of the resources you use. However, one thing you can do as an exercise to help your business to be more fun and engaging is to read blogs. Since many blogs are not expected to be professional and people may not be writing about the subject in the most professional manner, you can always get some good ideas from it.

When reading the blog, think about what makes reading it fun and engaging for you. Apply that to your own business and it will be easier to get motivated. Motivation is the key to a successful coaching career.

Find out what people want and need

How do you know what people want and need? It is a great open ended question to start you out with. You will never know right off the bat, and it can be hard to pinpoint what people actually want. If you are a social person, it may be easy for you to approach someone and have a nice conversation and from there learn what they want and need.

This is considered small talk and is a great way to find the information you are looking for. On neutral ground, people are more likely to talk about superficial things. They don’t know you on a personal level, so it is easier to simply talk about what is happening at the given moment. This is to your advantage. And if you are not the most social person or are shy or even a little self-conscious, don’t be.

The reason being is you should not worry about what people think of you at that moment. They do not know you and if your conversation was not the greatest, they probably will not remember the negative things about it. And that is okay. Consider it practice and keep going out in the world and try again.

Once you build up confidence, you will begin to see a change in how people react to you. Take note of how things have changed and realize those changes. The more you connect with people and learn their needs, the better things will get for you.

Plan each session before you start

Hopefully you have heard of the saying, “failing to plan is planning to fail.” Write this one down and put it into view either on your bathroom mirror, the bedroom or front door, or anywhere where you will see it. This will act as a reminder that you need to make sure you planned for what you will be doing from day to day.

Keep a schedule

Having a schedule is so important. You want to know when you hold coaching sessions and also know what activities you will need to do to accomplish certain goals. Many people get stuck here because structure is not a huge part of our daily lives. Get something into practice before you begin your business and make a point to follow it daily. This will be a big step toward getting into the habit of being organized and prepared.

Organization is important

Being organized and staying that way is very important. In fact this is one of the most important attributes to your business and will save you from huge headaches later. It goes along with planning as well. You plan needs to be organized and having an organized plan will help you here. I have some tips and advice for being and staying organized and so I want you to read once, then go back and read it again. The second time you read it, you will think to yourself how you will accomplish this task. In the end I hope you will be better organized and see success down the road as a result.

Be prepared to answer questions

You want people to ask questions. That is how you know they are engaged in what you are presenting to them. You will never be able to have all the information you need set in place as to avoid any uncertainties. In fact it is actually good to have uncertainties because as you are able to answer the questions, you will also learn something new.

Coaching isn’t about knowing everything, but knowing enough to help people who want it. If you do not know the answer to something, do not just tell them anything. If you do, you will be in a world of hurt in the future.

How to get your clients engaged

How do you get clients engaged? Remember earlier I said you want to attract the right type of people. So once you have the right people, then it will be that much easier for you. One thing to ask yourself is what gets you engaged? I know one thing that gets me engaged is simple; eye contact and using my name when someone speaks to me.

Acknowledge as many people as you can. “I have a bad memory”, or “I’m not good with names,” are the most common excuses people make. The problem is that neither excuse is accurate. You just did not “learn” how to remember someone’s name. Learning and remembering go hand in hand. Find out different methods that people use to help them remember things and practice it. The best way is to try and continue to try.

Create a calendar (so people can view your schedule)

My favorite thing is to have a calendar with all my events written in. There are digital calendars you can share with people and even free software you can find from your website hosting to meet your needs for this.

Experience tells me to write everything down; EVERYTHING. If you have working experience, meaning you have held a job of some sort, you will realize that people will tell you something one time then later on, what they told you will be irrelevant. Even at your job you should write everything down not just to cover your end, but so you can refer back to it to help you remember what was said.

With the calendar software of your choice, you can have your schedule viewable to your clients and to whomever you choose. If you have workers who are helping with your business, it is a great way for them to know what is going on.

Conclusion

Coaching is all around you. It comes in subtle forms and other times coaching is blatantly obvious. Obviously coaching is associated with sports, but certain other life activities greatly benefit from coaching. Take the different types of coaching businesses in this article as something to compare to different life situations where coaching can be beneficial.

Remember, the most important part in starting your own coaching business is to think about and decide what it is that motivates you the most. From there, you can look at the examples above and use them as a guide as you begin to develop a plan for your business.

As the plan develops, certain strategies can be executed giving you a “jump start” for a long and successful path. Success is only measured by the results from the type of effort you put into it. It will take time and effort to start the business and keep it running. There are no easy answers and learning from others will not prevent you from making your own mistakes. It is important to make your own mistakes so you can learn from them and grow stronger.
